After an over a decade of shooting weddings, we decided to include the engagement portrait as part of our every wedding package. Meaning – our wedding packages cost the same with or without the engagement portraits.
This special portrait photo session is the ideal opportunity for you to get to know us as your wedding photographers and is the perfect ice-breaker and a great fun too!
It’s also a Wedding Day Insurance: The engagement session gives me a chance to figure out how to make you look your best and a chance for you to get to know me and feel comfortable with a camera in your face. Also once you see the portraits you have ultimate faith in us on the day of the wedding – which makes you more relaxed, which makes our job much easier and the photographs much better.
The pre wedding engagement photo session is especially helpful if you are not keen on having your pictures taken. It helps greatly to give you the confidence and helps you relax before your wedding photographs are taken and allow you this vital affinity essential to achieve the natural looking wedding photographs you want.
You’ll love the experience we create during the session. Of course this also gives us the opportunity to show you some great photography of yourselves still as a couple giving you even more confidence for the wedding day ahead!
By the end of a pre wedding session, we’ll have a number of images that will become very special to you as a mark of your engagement period, showing this bond between you, this sparkle in the eye, this special little thing called LOVE!
Our wedding photography style is artful documentary, meaning that you hire us because you are looking for a photographer who can “capture the moment”. Of course, you want beautiful portraits too, but also want something more. And since marriage is an adventure, so we like the engagement shoot to be one as well. While we will sometimes take our clients to the “classic” locations, we prefer to take you to locations that mean something to you personally. We have taken couples to the place they met, or where they had their first date, their favourite coffee shop etc… Mostly we want the photo shoot to be fun and to create an atmosphere where you are relating to one another in a loving way. So rather than focus on the location of the shoot or how to pose, we focus on creating an environment that will produce “the special moments” for you!
